Connect your recorder
The app's Connect your recorder steps link the bridge to your NVR or DVR.

After adding the bridge, the app opens Connect your recorder. Do the steps in order:
- Prepare the recorder. Create a separate user for Kepto on the recorder with only live view, playback and event rights, turn on event pictures, and set each camera's substream to H.264. Guides: Hikvision · CP Plus / Dahua.
- Recorder address. Tap Find recorders on this network, or type the recorder's address (for example
192.168.1.64, shown in the recorder's network settings). Choose the brand, or leave Detect automatically. - Kepto user and test. Enter the Kepto user's name and password and test the connection.
- Choose cameras. Pick the cameras Kepto should watch.
The password goes only to your bridge; the app doesn't keep it and Kepto staff can't see it.
