Who we are

Kepto AI (“Kepto”, “we”) provides the Kepto AI app, the Kepto Bridge device and the Kepto Cloud service. This policy explains what personal data we process and why, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we keep

• Your account: name, email, phone, and the people you invite.
• Your places, devices, recorder model and camera settings. Recorder passwords stay on your Kepto Bridge, not in our cloud.
• Events your recorder reports, with times, and the AI descriptions of them: kept 90 days.
• Face photos of people you register, only with that person's own consent (a parent or guardian for anyone under 18); deleted when consent is withdrawn.
• Number plates of your registered vehicles; plates of other vehicles are removed after a short period.
• Billing details and invoices, kept as tax law requires.

What we do not keep

Your video. Recordings stay on your own recorder. We fetch a snapshot or short clip only when needed and delete it within minutes. Kepto staff never see your video, snapshots or events. If you ask the app a question by voice, your phone's own speech recognition turns it into text; we receive only the text, never the recording.

AI processing

If you turn AI on, still snapshots (never video or audio) from the areas you choose are sent to our AI service provider, which processes them outside India. It does not use them to train its models. No names, phone numbers or addresses are sent. You can turn AI off at any time.

Where data is stored

Kepto Cloud runs on servers in Singapore operated for us by our hosting provider. Face photos of people you register and our off-site backups are kept in India. All of it is protected with encryption. [Lawyer to confirm: processor list.]

Your rights

You can see and download your data, correct it, withdraw any consent, and delete your account from the app (Settings → Privacy). You can also write to our grievance officer (contact). We acknowledge within 48 hours and answer within 30 days.
