Installing the bridge
Placing the Kepto Bridge and preparing your recorder.
- Is my recorder supported?Hikvision and CP Plus / Dahua NVRs and DVRs work today.
- What's in the box and where to put itPlace the Kepto Bridge next to the recorder, on a shelf with some air around it.
- Network: what the bridge needsA network cable to your router. No port forwarding, no fixed IP.
- Prepare a Hikvision NVR or DVRCreate the Kepto user, turn on event pictures and set the substream to H.264.
- Prepare a CP Plus or Dahua NVR, DVR or XVRCreate the Kepto user, turn on smart events and set the substream to H.264.
- Check the installationConfirm the bridge is online, the cameras show, and a test event arrives.
- Move or replace the bridgeMoving to a new router or replacing a faulty bridge.
- Power cuts and internet outagesWhat happens when the power or the internet goes off.
